I’ve been in love with white kitchens since I can remember. They can be traditional, modern and anywhere in between. I love white kitchens because they are timeless, light, bright, fresh and clean. I also love rich wood cabinets, but when it comes to my own kitchen, I choose white.
We recently bought a home that’s in really rough shape but has a lot of potential. It sits on a beautiful piece of land and I’ve been longing to quit boarding my horses and keep them at home. The house has an open floor plan, a fabulous view, and really high (10 foot) ceilings in almost every room. We’ve made some improvements but I haven’t updated the kitchen so I am constantly on the look out for ideas.
Some of these kitchens are so beautiful, they take my breath away!

I can’t get enough of Joanna’s kitchens on Fixer Upper and this is one of my favorites. I absolutely love the dramatic wood beams and hood, not to mention the wide plank wood floor. Simple Shaker cabinets work equally well with farmhouse style as they do with the contemporary kitchen below designed by Mathew Quinn featured in House Beautiful Magazine. I can’t decide which I like best and they are so different.

Such a unique island, I just can’t get enough of the “X” design.

The 2015 Dream Home designed by Linda Woodrum is one of my all time favorite white kitchens. The entire house is covered in bead board and I’ve been in love with it ever since. The more recent Dream Homes have been fabulous, but this house really inspired me.
I found this beautiful white kitchen on one of my favorite blog’s, South Shore Decorating.
There’s no better way to add drama to your kitchen than with a beamed ceiling. This white kitchen is super functional with the deep farmhouse sink, tons of storage and the over sized island. The chrome pendants and marble slab on the island make it glamorous. One of my favorite design elements is the “X” design on the cabinet muntins so I want to work it into the design of my own kitchen.

The painted beams really stand out as a result of painting the bead board ceiling light blue. There’s another idea I’m going to steal!

The large pendants in the kitchen above are incredible so I hope to be using them in a project soon!!!

Finally, I love how the pinstriped cushions, the detail on the pendant lights, and the trim on the Roman shades all work together so it seems like perfection to me!
I hope you enjoyed these white kitchens. If you prefer kitchens with color we’ll look at some soon.
