PROJECT: ELEGANT TRADITIONAL EUROPEAN MASTER BEDROOM
|
Sometimes the master bedroom is the last room in the house to be redesigned. Our client's spent countless hours updating their kitchen and living spaces and were ready to give their 80's styled bedroom a new look. The majority of this home is sophisticated with transitional styling. After chatting with the homeowners, I learned that what they longed for was a relaxing, opulent retreat that featured rich fabrics and restful colors.

|
The Design - As always, we started with the floor plan. The old furniture had to go, so we replaced it with a rich, traditional styled mansion bed and night tables with marble tops.
The Fabrics - Creating the right mood started with color. We selected robin's egg blue silk bedding with mocha colored crushed velvet for the pillow shams and bed skirt. Chocolate browns and copper add to the sophisticated and serene design. The blues and browns in the bedding fabrics immediately created the calm atmosphere that we desired.
With its elegant fabrics, custom drapery and furnishings this bedroom is now the retreat they had hoped for.

PROJECT: TRADITIONAL SERENE MASTER BEDROOM
|
This client was happy with her furniture but wanted to freshen up her bedroom with new drapery, color and fabrics.
Our Concept - Our jumping off point was a photo that she saw in a magazine and everything followed from there.
Our Solution - To create a feeling of serenity, we selected soft green fabrics in a variety of subtle patterns.
Now a calming refuge, this master bedroom boasts a fresh new look.

PROJECT: TRADITIONAL, GENDER NEUTRAL MASTER BEDROOM
|
|
This typical ranch style home built in the 1960's was ready for a twenty first century redesign. Our challenge was to create a space that was neither overly feminine nor masculine for clients with very sophisticated taste.
Our Concept - The mood that we wanted to create is classic, comfortable and somewhat casual. We selected warm neutrals for the window treatments and bedding with a variety of textures to keep it interesting. We added a rich red fabric for a punch of color. The dark wood furniture is stylish and eclectic. The metal twig table that sits beside the custom chaise adds just the right sparkle.
Biggest Challenges - In this bedroom was the small horizontal windows. Replacing the windows wasn't a part of the budget - so we had to find a way to make them appear larger and create privacy.

PROJECT: A GOOD BATHROOM IN A SMALL PACKAGE
|
This small master bathroom received a major makeover.
Our Concept - What started as a very pink and dated space received new flooring, a cabinet, granite counters, tile, lighting and window treatments. We repeated the same colors and fabrics used in the master bedroom to create a cohesive space.
Our Solution - Now this classic bathroom is ready to welcome and pamper the owners for years to come.

PROJECT: JEWEL BOX POWDER BATH |
We selected sophisticated materials such as granite counter tops, tumbled marble backsplash, stainless steel appliances, brushed nickel fixtures, updated pendant lighting and custom window treatments. There is little (if any) WOW factor in this tiny powder room.
|
Our Concept - Our challenge was to pack as much excitement as possible into this tiny space.
Our Solution - We used metallic wall covering with a leaf and vine motif. The ceiling was painted silver to match the walls and the vine was painted right onto the ceiling for a unique effect.
We replaced the old vanity with a furniture style piece along with new flooring, lighting, and beefed up baseboard.

PROJECT: CLASSIC GUEST BATHROOM |
When we began work on this bath the client had completed the demo but wasn't really sure how to proceed.
Our Concept - We measured and drew the floor plan. The client selected their favorite tiles and we created the tile design based on those selections. A furniture style vanity with a granite top was used to create luxury in the space. We added window treatments and a custom shower curtain after this photo was taken.
Our client was thrilled with the results.
